Summoning is the newest skill to the game of this era. To start the skill you will be required to complete the Wolf Whistleplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigWolf Whistle
* Start point: Pikkupstix's house, Taverley * Difficulty: Novice * Length: Short * Skill Requirements: None * Items required: 2 Wolf bones (can be obtained during quest) * Enemies to defeat: 2 White wolves - level 25 (optional) quest. It is a skill that works with every skill by creating pouches that contain familiars that are used for various things.

Familiars are creatures that player can summon to help them with different skills. The familiars have many different ability, from helping you in combat to collecting extra resources while gathering. All familiars have a special move which can be activated using Summoning scrolls. Only one may be summoned at a time and must be dismissed before another can be summoned.

Charms are required to make pouches. Below is a list of NPCs with notable drop rates for each charm. Drop rates are approximated with 1000 loot rolls. If an enemy's name is in italics, that enemy may not be implemented into the game yet.

Tormented Demonplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigTormented Demons Intro: Tormented demons (TD's) are one of the strongest monsters in the game. TD's boast some of the most unique combat mechanics of any monster in runescape where you will actively need to switch attack weapons, gear, and protection prayers to be successful in the hunt. They are 450 combat, require actual strategy and timing but the rewards can be worth the trouble. | 450 | 20.7% | 8.8% | 19.0% | 39.4% | 3 |

Skill Mastery
In 2009scape, we had decided in the polls that we would add Skill Cape Perks in the game. You are able to find more perks by clicking hereplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigSkillcape Perks
Skillcape Image Perk Attack Your mastery of weapons allows you to almost always land a hit. When your attack level is taken into account to determine hit chance, 6 levels are added to it automatically, making your effective attack level 105. Stacks with potions and other effects.. There has not been any decided skill cape perks for this skill yet.
This section was added because a lot of people dont have a clue on how to start training summoning, or what to make, how many to make, what should i use X charm on at X level etc. So consider this the hax methods. This is for 5X but consider the “what to make” applicable for other xp rates as well. Again this is just my personal preference and is no way perfect. I prioritize on ease of secondary gathering rather than making the best possible pouch for each level.
At this point I would recommend you buy Raw beef in Oo'glog, along with raw bird meat. Raw beef may also be purchased in Canfis. Remember, Crimson charms are easily farmable by killing dags (AFK Melee or blast throug them by bursting, the rate of crimsons is exceptional.
From this point, you have to determine what do you have more of in terms of charms. Unless you have been specifically farming charms you would most likely be out of Gold charms, have a few crimsons, greens, and maybe a few blue charms. I recommend not using blue charms until Lava Titans at level 83 as the secondary item will be a byproduct of you farming Tzhaar for Tokkul. Your main goal should be to reach level 74 summoning for Granite Lobsters. If you have a good amount of crimsons, feel free to keep making bloated leeches, but remember, you get better xp per charm for higher level summons.
Key Items to consider once they are unlocked.
Eventually, you will end up using gold on terrorbirds, greens on bunyips, crimsons on granite lobbies, and Blues on Lava titans for training. At level 96 summoning you will need to make around 900-1000 Pak Yaks in order to get 99 Summoning.
